Actress Gehana Vasisth filed a complaint with the Amboli Police Station in Mumbai against her former manager Hemanta Dasgupta for miss-representation and various other issues. According to Gehana Vasisth, “I had given complete responsibility and freedom to Hemanta Dasgupta to handle my work and PR activity as well as all my film and modeling assignments. He used to do things without consulting me and would take decisions on my behalf without informing me. Recently, he planned a “so-called PR exercise” which was nothing but a fake publicity stunt without my complete consent which boomeranged very badly and damaged my name and reputation in the industry. He literally forced me to be part of his publicity stunt which according to him would have given me “good mileage in the film industry”. He used to contact producers and production houses on my behalf and try to make private deals with them without my knowledge.”
After this incident, on 18th July, I fired Hemanta Dasgupta and completely cut off my professional dealings with him. I even stopped receiving his calls. For the last 3 days he has been giving me threatening and vulgar calls from different phone numbers and has made life hell for me. He claims that he will throw acid on my face and will ruin my reputation in Bollywood. I came to know that he is speaking very vulgar, defamatory and offensive things about me in the industry. Finally fed up with his constant harassment, I filed a complaint at Amboli Police Station. The police have registered a non cognizable complaint (NC No 1537 / 2012) against Hemanta Dasgupta under various sections of the Indian Penal Code for outraging the modesty of a woman, making threatening calls, miss-representation and cheating.
